NTL BASEBALL: WILLIAMSON FALLS TO TROY IN 3 INNINGS (2024-04-09)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportTIOGA JUNCTION, PA — Williamson struggled against large school-leader Troy here Tuesday and fell to the Trojans, 19-2, in three innings.
Troy scored 6 runs in the 1st inning, 12 in the 2nd and their last run in the 3rd, while Williamson plated a run in each of the 2nd and 3rd innings.
Seth Zimmerman took the loss for Williamson, starting and going two innings and allowing 18 runs (13 earned) on 16 hits and two walks. Danny Smith threw the final inning and giving up an earned run on a hit and a walk with two strikeouts.
The Warriors had three base hits in the loss .. by Jack Nolan, Zimmerman and Alex Watson .. while Nolan and Zimmerman each had an RBI and Watson and Carter Tubbs scored Williamson’s runs.
Williamson (1-7) is scheduled to visit Athens on Friday.
