North Penn-Mansfield senior Karson Dominick helped the Tigers to a 3-0 mark on the week, while Owego sophomore QB Kylie Grippen directed the River Hawks to a pair of wins. They are The Sports Reports / Ziff Law Firm Regional “Athletes of the Week,” for the week ending April 6.

NP-MANSFIELD’S DOMINICK NAMED ZIFF LAW FIRM REGIONAL BOYS ‘ATHLETE OF THE WEEK’
Dominick hit .667 for the week, and earned a win on the mound to help the Tigers to three wins.

On Tuesday, in a 15-0 four-inning win over Northern Potter, Dominick went 2-for-3 with a run scored, and an RBI. He also threw two innings of one-hit ball with three strikeouts to earn the win.

In the second game of the twinbill, a 19-1 four-inning win, Dominick was 2-for-2 with one run, and two RBI.

On Sunday, Dominick was 2-for-4 with a run scored, and three RBI in a 9-2 win over Athens.

Honorable Mentions: Waverly’s Jay Pipher (baseball), Elmira’s Ryan Stukey (lacrosse), SVEC’s Deveon Aman (baseball), and Towanda’s Gianni Assante Di Cupillo (baseball).

OWEGO’S GRIPPEN NAMED ZIFF LAW FIRM REGIONAL GIRLS ‘ATHLETE OF THE WEEK’
Gripped completed 29 of 48 passes for seven TDs in wins over Corning and Vestal.

Gripped completed 12 of 22 pass attempts with four TDs in a 32-7 win over Corning.

In a 24-13 win over Vestal, Grippen completed 17 of 26 passes for 211 yards, and three TDs.
