HIGH SCHOOL TRACK & FIELD: WILLIAMSON GIRLS 5TH AT MOLLY DRY, BOYS 9TH (2024-04-11)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportMANSFIELD — The Williamson girls Track & Field team placed 5th at Thursday’s Molly Dry Invite while the boys finished 9th.
Junior Olivia Meisner had the Warriors’ lone event win, taking 1st in the shot put (32-3.75) while also placing 5th in the javelin (72-10).
Sophomore Madalynn Bailey placed 4th in the 400 meter dash (1:04.95) and 7th in the 800 (2:39.46) while junior Torrina Stratton was 4th in the 800 (2:32.66) and 8th in the 3200 (13:25.66), junior Alexis Shenk placed 4th in the javelin (74-8), junior Jade Colwell was 5th in the 200 (29.78) and freshman Aubrey Wells finished 5th in the long jump (13-8) and 6th in the 100 meter hurdles (18.83).
Freshman Sayde Loucks was 6th in the shot put (28-3.75), sophomore Anna Lee was 6th in the long jump (13-7.50), freshman Leeann Lessing was 7th in the 2,000 meter steeplechase (11:47.24), Junior Kylee Stone was 7th in the triple jump (28-8) and senior Madison Schoonover was 7th in the high jump (4-4) and 8th in the triple jump (28-2.50).
On the boys’ side, junior Jordan Monroe had the Warriors’ top finish of the day, placing 2nd in the 400 (54.49). Sophomore Jeavon Eick was 6th in the 800 (2:13.85), senior Gavin Cloos was 7th in the pole vault (10-0) and junior Aiden O;Neal was 8th (10-0), junior Tim Freeman was 7th in the javelin (112-6) and senior Ean Bump was 8th in both the discus (109-2) and the javelin (111-10).
Freshmen Thomas Bomba (10:21.37) and Maddox Hartman (10:21.58) were 12th and 13th in the 2,000 meter steeplechase.
