NTL SOFTBALL: MOUNTIES ROLL TO LOPSIDED WIN OVER CANTON (2024-04-12)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportCANTON, PA — North Penn-Liberty sophomore Haley Litzelman was perfect in the circle for four innings and the Mounties rolled to a lopsided, 17-0 win over the host Lady Warriors here Friday.
Litzelman didn’t allow a Canton base runner and struck out five of the 12 batters she faced.
The Mounties pounded out 13 hits in the game and scored nine runs in the first inning and four in each of the 2nd and 4th innings.
Saige Lehman had a double, two singles, four RBI and a run scored, while Mckenna Lightner had two hits with a two-run home run, three RBI and two runs scored.
Addie Smith and Maddie Smith had two base hits and an RBI each and Addie scored two runs, while Megan Spohn had a double, drove in four runs and scored one, Litzelman had a hit, an RBI and scored twice and Nikki Kiscadden had a double and scored twice. Kaylee Graham had Liberty’s remaining base hit and Marissa Griess scored two runs and Payton Chapel and Elaina Shaw each scored once.
The Mounties, now 6-0 on the season, are scheduled to visit Wyalusing on Monday.
