After two scoreless innings, Athens touched Williamson pitcher Sawyer Carleton for seven runs in the top of the third inning. The Wildcats added a pair of runs in both the fourth and fifth innings to end the game early.

Carleton took the loss, going all five innings and allowing 11 runs (5 earned) on nine base hits and four walks with two strikeouts.

Williamson’s five base runners in the game all came via walks, as Carleton and Westin Copp each drew a pair and Alex Watson walked once. 

The Warriors (1-8) are scheduled to next visit Wyalusing on Tuesday.
