Litzelman went all five innings for Liberty and walked just one Sayre batter while striking out nine, and also collected three base hits on the day, with a pair of doubles, two RBI and two runs scored.

The Mounties had 11 hits as a team, with Mackenzi Tice (2H,3B,2RBI,2R), Saige Lehman (2H, RBI, R) and Marisa Griess (2H, 2RBI, R) joining Litzelman with multi-hit games. Nikki Kiscadden (1B, RBI, 2R), Megan Spohn (2B, R), Payton Chapel (RBI) and Mckenna Lightner (R) rounded out the Lady Mounties’ offense.

Liberty took a 1-0 lead in the first inning and after a scoreless second frame, plated six runs in the third on leadoff back-to-back doubles by Spohn and Litzelman, a walk by Lightner and two-out base hits by Griess, Kiscadden, Tice and Lehman.

The Mounties added a run in the fourth and tacked on their final two runs in the fifth to end the game early.
