Shaelyn Berguson, a freshman guard on the Corning Community College women’s basketball team, is seeing action in her first season for the Red Barons.
Corning is 5-12 overall on the season, including a 4-4 mark in the Mid State Athletic Conference.
Berguson has appeared in 10 games for the Red Barons, with a high of 15 minutes in Corning’s game on January 31, a 69-52 loss at Genesee.
The former Lady Tiger has scored 14 points, grabbed 22 rebounds, had four steals and handed out two assists in her inaugural collegiate season.
The Red Barons are next scheduled to play at Finger Lakes Community College on Saturday at 1 p.m., with their next home game scheduled for February 12 at 2:30 p.m.
