JUNIOR HIGH/YOUTH WRESTLING: SOUTHERN TIOGA WRESTLERS MEDAL AT KEYSTONE STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS (2022-03-20)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportERIE, PA — A group of youth and junior high-aged wrestlers from Southern Tioga qualified for and competed at the Keystone State Wrestling Championships this weekend, with several bringing home medals.
In the Junior High 87-pound division, Bryce Pequignot went 5-2 and finished in 5th place.
In the girls’ 11-12 year old 105-pound class, Harper Messner placed 2nd while going 1-1.
Bridger Lehman took 8th place in the 9-10 year old, 120-pound division.
Also competing at States were Deakon Valentine .. Junior High, 187 pounds, Carolyn Cherwinski .. Junior High, 105 pounds and Owen Lisowski .. 11-12 year old, 80 pounds.
