COLLEGE MENS' TENNIS: WELLSBORO GRADS LEAD LYCOMING TO RECENT SWEEPS (2022-03-27)

WILLIAMSPORT — Wellsboro graduates Nathan Redell and Luke Leach have been vital to the Lycoming College Mens’ Tennis Team’s success this Spring, as the duo has compiled a 10-2 combined record to help the Warriors to a pair of recent sweeps.

Lycoming swept Alfred 9-0 on Friday. 

Redell, a junior playing in both the No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles matches, won his singles match 6-3, 3-6, 10-5, then combined with teammate Cody Greenaway to win their doubles match 8-5.

Leach, a sophomore, won his No. 3 singles match 6-0, 6-0, then paired with teammate Casey Haas to win their No. 2 doubles match 8-0

Lycoming made a quick turnaround and played Clarks Summit on Saturday, again earning the 9-0 sweep.

Redell won his No. 1 singles match 6-0, 6-1 and again combined with Greenaway to win their No. 1 doubles match 8-3.

Leach won the No. 3 singles match 6-0, 6-0 and won in No. 2 doubles action 8-2 with Haas.

In the Warriors’ first match of the Spring, a 7-2 loss to Moravian Tuesday, Redell and Greenaway won their No. 1 doubles match 8-5, while Leach won his No. 3 singles match 7-6 (8-6), 6-3.

Lycoming’s next match is on Tuesday, March 29th at Lancaster Bible in Landisville, PA. Their next home contest will be on Saturday, April 9th against DeSales. Home matches are held at Brandon Park in Williamsport.
