NTL BOYS' TENNIS: NP-LIBERTY WORKING HARD TO IMPROVE IN '22 (2022-03-27)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportLIBERTY — The North Penn-Liberty boys’ tennis squad will hit the court in 2022 with a batch of new faces looking to improve on a their 1-9 record from a season ago.
The Mounties have a lone returning player .. last year’s No. 3 singles player, senior Ian Beck.
Joining the ranks this season will be a quartet of sophomores .. Daniel Harmon, Riley Novitske, James Nearhoof and Owen Loudenslager .. as well as freshman David Dolheimer, giving the Mounties a bigger roster than usual.
New Head Coach Tracy Gregory is happy with what he’s seen from his young team so far.
“We have a very young team”, Gregory says, “but the boys are really working hard. They have a very positive attitude.”
NP-Liberty is scheduled to open their season Monday at Towanda.
