TRAVEL SOFTBALL: COWANESQUE VALLEY FOURSOME HELP DIAMOND DAWGS TO TOURNEY TITLE (2022-06-12)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportHORSEHEADS, NY — A quartet of Cowanesque Valley student/athletes helped their Wellsville Diamond Dawgs win the 16U Gold championship at the Horseheads Summer Blast Softball Tournament this weekend.
Maddie Millard (3B,C), Tabbitha Piper (1B), Ella Churchill (CF) and Lily Vargeson (2B/RF) play for the Dawgs, based out of Wellsville, NY and coached by Matt Burke and Jesse Millard.
The Dawgs went 6-0 in the tournament, beating Fury Fastpitch, Syracuse Explosion, Lou Gehrig Lasers, Corning Blizzard and Southern Tier Thunder.
