LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL: SOUTHERN TIOGA MINORS TOP CANTON FOR POOL PLAY WIN (2022-06-17)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportMANSFIELD — The Southern Tioga minor baseball team won their opening pool play game of the District 15 Little League All-Star tournament Friday, topping Canton 11-6.
In the minors' East Division Friday, Blue Ridge beat NEB 13-12, and in the Mid-East Division, Athens beat Towanda 5-3.
In the West Division, Wellsboro hosted Allegheny Mountain-Elkland, but according to the District 15 site, no score was reported.
Southern Tioga plays out of the Mid-West Division, along with Canton and Troy, and will return to action Sunday when they visit Troy.
