PIAA BOYS TRACK & FIELD: SEVEN WEST ATHLETES COMPETE AT STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS (2021-05-28)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportSHIPPENSBURG — Seven area athletes qualified for and competed at the PIAA Boys Track and Field Championships, held Friday at Shippensburg University.
North Penn-Mansfield’s Noah Shedden placed 16th in the 3200 meter run with a time of 10:05.99, nearly five seconds faster than the senior’s seed time of 10:10.85.
Wellsboro’s 4x100 meter relay team of senior Joseph Grab, sophomores Jack Poirier and Samuel Rudy and freshman Dillon Boyce, finished in 19th place with a time of 45.76.
Williamson freshman Owen Cummings competed in the 1600 meter run, finishing seventh in his heat, and 20th overall, with a time of 4:35.59.
Seth Neal competed in his final high school race for Williamson, placing 22nd in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:10.17.
