SUMMER LEAGUE BASKETBALL: NORTH PENN-MANSFIELD KICKS OFF SUMMER SCHEDULE WITH TOURNEY APPEARANCE (2021-06-13) Northern Tier West Sports Report HUGHESVILLE — The North Penn-Mansfield varsity boys’ basketball team joined 15 other high school squads and took advantage of an early-summer opportunity to play some ball, competing at the 2021 Battle at the Balcony Summer Kickoff tournament in Hughesville on Saturday and Sunday.
The Tigers went 0-4 on the weekend, but gained valuable playing experience against teams they wouldn’t normally play. NP-Mansfield’s losses came against Northwest, Hughesville, Shikellamy and Selinsgrove.
