NTL BASEBALL: NPM, CV AND WILLIAMSON ALL REPRESENTED ON NTL COACHES ALL-STAR LISTS (2021-06-15)

TIOGA COUNTY, PA  â€” North Penn-Mansfield, Cowanesque Valley and Williamson each had a player named to the first team of the NTL baseball coaches All-Star teams, with CV and NPM each adding a pair of players to the second team. 

NPM’s Noah Spencer led his 12-8 Tigers from the plate and from the mound. The senior batted .464 with 32 hits, including seven doubles, 11 RBI and 19 runs scored. He also swiped 31 bases and his on-base percentage was .500. As a pitcher, Spencer went 7-1 with a 3.36 ERA over 41 innings pitched, with 47 strikeouts. 

Tucker St. Peter, CV, was named to the first team after his solid junior season for the 8-13 Indians. He batted a gaudy .527 and had an on-base percentage of .587, while collecting 29 hits, 24 RBI and 19 runs scored. St. Peter had seven doubles, two triples and two home runs, and went 2-2 on the mound with a 3.40 ERA and 20 strikeouts over 22 innings of work.

Williamson’s Gabe Kaufman was also selected to the first team. The senior banged out 28 hits on the season, with five doubles, two triples, 14 RBI and 20 runs scored. He batted .452 and had a .507 on-base percentage for his 3-15 Warriors.

Cowanesque Valley’s Mcgwire Painter and Mikey Sipps were each named to the second team, as were North Penn-Mansfield’s Derek Litzleman and Blaze Dietrick.

Painter batted .397 for the Indians, with 23 hits, 12 runs scored and 13 RBI. The junior also established himself as CV’s #1 pitcher, going 2-2 over 32 innings pitched with an impressive 71 strikeouts. 

Sipps had 26 hits for CV, with seven doubles, a triple, 20 runs scored and 15 RBI. The junior catcher batted .473 and had an on-base percentage of .580.

North Penn-Mansfield’s Litzelman batted .442 for the Tigers, with 23 hits, 14 runs scored and 12 RBI. The sophomore also threw eight innings, allowing no hits and striking out four.

Dietrick had 18 hits and batted .305, with a .461 on-base percentage. The senior also threw 21 innings for the Tigers, compiling a 5.41 ERA with 23 strikeouts.
