NTL TRACK & FIELD: WILLIAMSON CROWNS FOUR CHAMPS AT NTL MEET (2025-05-09)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportATHENS — Williamson claimed a quartet of event titles at the NTL Championships on Friday as the Lady Warriors finished in fourth place and the boys were ninth.
The girls scored 96 points, behind team champ Athens (133), Wellsboro (102.5) and Towanda (100.5) and ahead of Troy (75), Canton (60), Northeast Bradford (56.5), Wyalusing (44), North Penn-Mansfield (21.5) and Sayre (11).
Raegan VanGorden won the high jump (4-8) for the Warriors while Madalynn Bailey won the long jump (15-11.50) and Olivia Meisner placed first in the shot put (35-11).
The girls’ 4x100m relay team placed second (53.12), Anna Lee was second in the triple jump (32-3) with Kylee Stone placing fourth (31-10) and Lee was third in the long jump (15-8.50).
Jade Colwell placed third in both the 100m (13.24) and 200m (28.07) dashes and Bailey was third in the 800m run (2:31.63).
Sayde Loucks finished fourth in the discus (86-1.50), Natalie Yonker placed fifth in the 800m (2:38.72) and sixth in both the 1600m (5:42.13) and the 3200m (12:55.22), Aubrey Wells took sixth in the 100m hurdles (18.01), Loucks was seventh in the shot put (28-8) and Zeraya Wilson placed eighth in the 200m dash (28.95).
On the boys’ side, Aiden O’Neil won the pole vault (13-0) as the Warriors scored 32 team points, behind team champ Troy (137), Athens (114), Wellsboro (86.5), Wyalusing (71.5), NP-Mansfield (67), Towanda (63), Northeast Bradford (57) and Canton (40) and ahead of Sayre (24).
Jeavon Eick placed fourth in the 300m hurdles (53.62) and fifth in the 200m dash (24.58), Joshua Teague was fourth in the 300m hurdles (45.57), Steven Hepfer was sixth in the long jump (18-5.50) and Troy Madison finished sixth in the pole vault (9-6).
The Warriors have a number of athletes who have qualified for next week’s District 4 Championships.
