NTL SOFTBALL: COWANESQUE VALLEY TOPPED BY TOWANDA (2025-05-12)
Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportTOWANDA — Cowanesque Valley dropped an NTL crossover game here Monday, falling 6-1 to the host Towanda Lady Black Knights.
Towanda took a 1-0 lead in the first inning and went up 3-0 after the third.
Cowanesque Valley scored their lone run of the game in the top of the fourth, as Lilah LaBarron singled and would eventually steal home to make it 3-1, Towanda.
The Lady Knights tacked on their final three runs in the home half of the sixth to provide the final.
Ashley Woodring and LaBarron each had two hits for CV.
LaBarron pitched all six innings and allowed six earned runs on 10 hits and four walks with five strikeouts.
CV falls to 7-9 on the season with the loss. They’re scheduled to host Troy on Wednesday.
