NTL GIRLS SOCCER: WELLSBORO EDGED BY ATHENS (2021-09-22) Northern Tier West Sports Report ATHENS — Wellsboro gave up the lone goal of the game late in the first half to host Athens Wednesday, falling 1-0 to the Wildcats in NTL girls’ soccer action.
The Lady Hornets managed just two shots on goal, compared to 13 for Athens, and each team had three corner kicks.
Keeper Lilly Abadi had 12 saves in goal for Wellsboro, who fall to 1-4 on the season with the loss. They’ll return to action Thursday when they host Towanda.
