NTL GIRLS BASKETBALL: SHORT-HANDED LADY MOUNTIES CAN'T KEEP UP WITH TOWANDA (2022-01-13)
By Lance LarcomNorthern Tier West Sports ReportLIBERTY — The short-handed Lady Mounties suffered a lopsided loss to Towanda, falling 48-16 in NTL girls crossover action Thursday.
The Lady Knights held NP-Liberty scoreless in the first quarter, taking a 17-0 lead. A 16-4 advantage for Towanda in the second gave the Knights a 33-4 lead.
Elizabeth Ritchie led NPL with nine points, while Nikki Kiscadden scored three and Darby Stetter and Mackenzie Broughton each scored two points.
The Lady Mounties fall to 3-8 with the loss. They are scheduled to host Sayre on Saturday for a Varsity-only contest at 11 a.m.
