The Lady Hornets limited the Lady Tigers to three first-quarter points and put 10 on the board as Emma Coolidge scored six points in the opening frame and Chloe Brandenburg added four points.

Wellsboro built a 22-9 lead at the break, with NPM’s Payton Chapel being the lone Tiger scorer in the first half.

Chapel hit three three-pointers in the third quarter, but it wouldn’t be enough, as the Lady Tigers were again limited to three points in the final frame.

Coolidge and Brandenburg each scored 11 points for Wellsboro, while Paige Logsdon added eight points and Emma Brandenburg finished with six.

Maddy Mascho and Ella Posada each chipped in with two points for the Hornets.

Chapel finished with 18 points for the Tigers, including four three-pointers, while McKenna Lightner had three points and Shaniya Sparrow and Ella Swingle each scored two points.

Wellsboro evens their record at 5-5 with the win, while NPM falls to 4-7 on the season.
