HIGH SCHOOL SWIMMING: WELLSBORO SWIMMERS COMPETE AT TOWANDA (2022-01-20)
Northern Tier West Sports ReportTOWANDA — Wellsboro athletes competed as independents at a recent Towanda/Athens swim meet, recording several winning and District qualifying times.
In the Boys 200 Yard Individual Medley, Hayne Webster swam a 2:18.51. The winning time between Towanda and Athens was 2:27.50.
Webster swam a 1:05.10 in the 100 Yard Backstroke, while the winning meet time was 1:12.92.
In the Girls 50 Yard Freestyle, Isoble Anderegg recorded a 28.46, followed closely by Madison Robbins with a 28.52. The winning time at the meet was 28.76.
Anderegg swam a 1:03.02 in the Girls 100 Yard Freestyle .. the top time .. and Robbins swam a 1:04.83, which would have been good for fourth place in the event.
Carolyn Warner competed in both the Girls 100 Yard Butterfly, where she swam a 1:16.85, and the Girls 100 Yard Backstroke, with a 1:16.57. Both times would have been good for second place in their respective races.
