Northern Tier West Sports ReportREADING — Cowanesque Valley grad Abby Ackley has began her second season as a starter for the Penn State-Berks women’s basketball team.
Ackley averaged 7.2 points and five rebounds per game for the 0-23 Lions last season as a freshman, and has eight rebounds and two points through Penn State Berks’ 0-3 start this year.
The Lions return to action Tuesday when they host Gwynedd Mercy.
