NTL GIRLS BASKETBALL: NORTH PENN-MANSFIELD GETS OVERTIME WIN OVER WYALUSING (2023-01-18)

MANSFIELD — The Lady Tigers overcame a Wyalusing fourth-quarter comeback and edged the Rams in overtime to earn a 41-38 win in NTL girls’ crossover action here Wednesday.

Up 23-19 after three quarters of play, NP-Mansfield surrendered 17 Wyalusing points in the fourth quarter to allow the Rams to tie the game at 36.

Addison Farrer and Kameron Lightner scored two points each in the extra frame and Ella Swingle added a free throw while the Tigers allowed just a pair of Ram free throws, securing the win.

Farrer led NP-Mansfield with 11 points .. all in the second half .. while Kameron Lightner added 10 points, Addison Hill had nine points, Swingle scored six points and Mckenna Lightner had five points.

NP-Mansfield took an 11-5 lead after one quarter, and an 8-4 Wyalusing second left the Tigers with a 15-13 lead at the break.

Farrer scored five points in the third quarter and four in the fourth, where Hill added five points.

Mckenna Lightner grabbed 16 rebounds in the win, while Kameron Lightner had seven rebounds and a pair of steals, Hill had six rebounds and Swingle had six rebounds and two assists.

With the win, North Penn-Mansfield now stands at 2-12 on the season. They are scheduled to visit Towanda on Friday.
