Northern Tier West Sports ReportCANTON — The Hornets snapped a two-game losing streak and ground out a three-set win over defending small-school champs Canton in NTL crossover volleyball action here Thursday.
Wellsboro took the first set 25-14, won the second set 29-27 and sealed the win with a 25-23 victory in the third.

The Hornets are now 5-4 on the season, including a 4-2 mark in the NTL. They are scheduled to return to play on Saturday at home when they host Coudersport for a 12:30 p.m. match-up.
