NTL GIRLS SOCCER: WELLSBORO SHUT OUT BY TOWANDA (2023-09-28)

WELLSBORO — The Hornets surrendered a first-half hat trick to Towanda’s Anna Dunn and fell to the Lady Knights 4-0 in an NTL girls soccer match-up here Thursday.

Dunn scored at the 35:35, 20:52 and 14:40 marks of the first half and Towanda added a late goal with three minutes left in the match.

Towanda held a 15-10 advantage in shots-on-goal while both teams took two corner kicks. Jaydn Dunlap played 27 minutes in goal for the Hornets and had three saves and Annie Gehman played 53 minutes and had eight stops.

Now 3-8 overall on the season, the Hornets also fall to 2-6 in the NTL. They’re scheduled to return to action Saturday against Jersey Shore at 5:30 p.m.
