ALL-TIOGA COUNTY 'SUPER 7' GIRL NEWCOMERS OF THE FALL (2023-12-04)

TIOGA COUNTY — NTWSR recognizes the outstanding contributions made by some of our first-year female varsity athletes this past season with our ‘Super 7’ Girl Newcomers of the Fall. 

Leading the way as the girl ’Newcomer of the Fall’ is Wellsboro cross country runner Lauren Kosek. The freshman had a runner-up finish at the NTL meet (20:04.34), a 9th place finish at Districts (19:45) and a 40th place finish at the State Championship (20:29). 

Joining Kosek on the ’Super 7’ Newcomer list are:

Williamson sophomore Raegan VanGorden had 602 assists for the Lady Warriors volleyball team and added 231 points with 84 aces, 215 digs and 38 kills.

Williamson sophomore Zeraya Wilson scored 11 goals and added five assists for the Lady Warriors.

Cowanesque Valley freshman Clare McKee placed 9th at the NTL meet (21:56), 19th at Districts (21:00) and 129th at the State Championships (21:57) while competing as the sole member of the Lady Indians Cross Country Team.

Wellsboro sophomore Taylor Main had 149 assists, 102 digs, 149 points, 21 aces and 7 kills for the Lady Hornets.

North Penn-Mansfield freshman Jaci Fairchild placed 6th at the NTL meet (21:14); 5th at Districts (20:42) and 64th at States (21:53) in her varsity debut for the Lady Tigers.

Williamson freshman Maeve Ficks scored six goals and had two assists for the Warriors.
