Northern Tier Sports ReportWESTFIELD — Cowanesque Valley dropped their season opener 5-0 to NTL foe Towanda in NTL boys tennis action here Wednesday.
At first singles Towanda’s Bayley Poll won 6-0, 6-0 over CV’s Ben Doran, while at second singles Knight Haven Poll won 6-0, 6-2 against Evan Zinck.
Towanda’s Diego Oliver beat Nate Boyer 6-0, 6-0 at third singles, while the Black Knight duo of Rian Hennessy and Matrix McCarter won 6-0, 6-1 over Eli Preston and Carter Hoke. Towanda’s Jameson Harkness and Robbie Root won by default at second singles.
Cowanesque Valley (0-1) is scheduled to return to play on Tuesday at Wellsboro.
