Northern Tier West Sports ReportMANSFIELD — The Wellsboro Hornets finished in sixth place at the weekly NTL match, held on Tuesday at Corey Creek Country Club.
Athens won with a low aggregate score of 317, followed by North Penn-Mansfield (333), Towanda (343), Wyalusing (363), CV (405), Wellsboro (413) and Sayre (567).
Syler Peitrzyk shot a team-low 91 to lead the Hornets, while Kieren Whitsell had a 105, Garrett Kauldenbach had a 106 and Gideon Lawton carded a 107.
Chase Shultz (110) and Logan Johnson had non-scored rounds for Wellsboro.
Wellsboro and the rest of the NTL squads will return to play next Tuesday when Cowanesque Valley hosts at River Valley in Westfield.
