ALLENWOOD, PA — Junior Andy Hermansen took low honors at the District 4 Team Championships at White Deer Wednesday with a 1-under par 71, leading North Penn-Mansfield to a runner-up finish.
The Tigers shot 319 as a group, behind only team champ Mifflinburg’s 310.
Hermansen collected four birdies, including on holes 8 and 9 that put him at a 1-under 35 as he made the turn. Birdies on the par-4 11th and par-5 14th preceded a par, bogey, par, bogey finish to give Hermansen his round of 71.
Senior Alex Davis had the Tigers’ next-low round with a 78, including birdies on the par-5 8th hole and the par-5 18th.
Seniors Tate Strange and Talon D’Angelo carded rounds of 84 and 86 to give North Penn-Mansfield a foursome at next week’s individual District championships, to be played on Thursday and Saturday at Williamsport Country Club.
Alex Kalamaris missed qualifying by five strokes, carding a 93 on the day.
