WESTFIELD — Cowanesque Valley fell behind defending league champ Troy early and couldn’t keep up with the Trojans as the Indians suffered a mercy rule loss, 76-48.
Troy took leads of 28-9 after one quarter, 50-18 at the half and 68-32 after three quarters of play.
Ashton Burdick led CV in scoring with 18 points while Levi Stahli had 12, Parker Lee scored 7 points, Carsyn Kemp had 6, Gavin Churchill had 4 points and Josh Teague scored 1 point.
The Indians (2-7) are scheduled to return to action Tuesday at home against Sayre.
