TIOGA JUNCTION — North Penn-Liberty had 11 players score as they rolled to a lopsided, 80-45 win over the host Williamson Warriors here Tuesday.
The Mounties got 13 points from Blake Oakley in the first quarter and took a 28-11 lead, followed by a 24-8 second frame where Sudan Benner had 9 points and Luke Kreger had 8 to give NP-Liberty a 52-19 lead at the break.
Liberty extended their lead to 70-30 after the third quarter and generous substituting by the Mounties led to a 15-10 Williamson edge in the last quarter to provide the final.
Oakley led NPL with 17 points in the win and added 6 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 assists. Adynn Wheeland and Luke Kreger each had 13 points, with Kreger adding 7 boards and 5 steals and Wheeland grabbing 5 rebounds.
Sudan Benner had 9 points for Liberty while Brody Grinnell and Landon Mattern had 5 each, Evan McTish had 4 points and 5 rebounds, Nick Bailey and Conner Lewis had 3 points each and Ayden Phommalong chipped in with 2 points.
For Williamson, Jack Nolan had 16 second half points and finished with 23, Maddox Hartman had 7 points, Jacob Brown and Alex Watson had 4 points each, Scott Campbell had 3 points and Gabe Crance and Mateo De Pedro each had 2 points.
The Mounties (5-5) are scheduled to next host Canton, on Thursday.
Williamson (0-7) is scheduled to visit Cowanesque Valley on Thursday.
