Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportTIOGA COUNTY — The NTWSR / Laurel Health ‘Athletes of the Week’ are Williamson wrestler Zander Wilson and Cowanesque Valley’s Ella Churchill.
Wilson, the Warriors’ freshman 107-pounder, went 8-0 on the week .. receiving forfeit wins in each of Williamson’s dual meet wins over Wellsboro, NEB and Wyalusing and winning the 108-pound title at the Southern Tier Memorial tournament with a 5-0 performance.
Churchill led the Lady Indians to a pair of wins, scoring 28 points in a win over Sayre and 21 points as CV topped Williamson.
