CANTON — Williamson put three players in double-digits but couldn’t keep up with the host Canton Warriors and fell 60-38 in NTL small school boys basketball action here Tuesday.
Canton took leads of 20-6 after the first quarter, 34-16 at the half and 49-30 after three quarters of play, despite Williamson having their best frame in the third where they were edged 15-14 behind 7 points from Maddox Hartman.
Izaiah Croft led Williamson with 12 points while Hartman had 11 points and Jack Nolan scored 10. Braxton Watson had 3 points in the loss and Alex Watson and A.J. Hargarther each added 1 point.
The visiting Warriors shot 13-for-19 from the free throw line .. including a 6-for-8 effort from Nolan, Croft hitting 3-of-4 and Hartman making both of his attempts.
Williamson drops to 1-9 on the season with the loss and is scheduled to return to play on Thursday at home against Northeast Bradford.
