Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportWESTFIELD — Cowanesque Valley suffered a lopsided defeat against Northeast Bradford in NTL-II girls basketball play Wednesday, falling 64-37 to the visiting Lady Panthers.
NEB took a slim, 12-10 lead after a quarter of play and extended their lead to 28-17 by halftime. A 15-10 third quarter advantage for the Panthers led to a 21-10 fourth and the 64-37 final.
Ella Churchill led CV in scoring with 14 points while Lily Vargeson had 8 points, Ashley Woodring had 7 points, Jessie Quick scored 4 points and Starr Ordway and Taylor Eldridge had 2 points each.
Cowanesque Valley drops to 5-6 on the season with the loss and returns to play on Friday at North Penn-Liberty.
