
MANSFIELD — The Tigers jumped out to a double-digit lead in the first quarter and rolled to a 21-point win here Wednesday, beating the visiting Athens Wildcats 67-46.
Brady Stetter scored 9 first quarter points and Cooper Shaw had 6 as North Penn-Mansfield built an early 10-point lead at 19-9. Shaw finished with 18 to lead the Tigers while Stetter added 13 points.
A 14-10 advantage for Mansfield in the second quarter gave the Tigers a 33-19 lead at the break. Shaw (8 pts.) nd Tate Strange (6) helped the Tigers to a 20-18 third quarter before Mansfield sealed the win with a 14-9 advantage in the final quarter.
Jason Harer and Strange each finished with 8 points in the win while Alex Davis and Patrick Youmans had 6 each, Andy Hermansen had 4 points and Kevin Clemente-Vasquez and Talon D’Angelo each had 2 points.
Mansfield had 23 assists on the night, led by Davis with 10 and Hermansen and Shaw with 5 each. Davis also made 8 steals for the Tigers.
The Tigers, now 17-3 overall on the season, have two regular season games remaining, starting Friday when they host Wyalusing (2-16).
