
WELLSBORO — The Lady Hornets held a halftime lead over NTL-I champ Troy here Tuesday, but the Lady Trojans used a strong second half to come back and down Wellsboro, 46-34.
Chloe Brandenburg hit three 3-pointers in the first quarter as Wellsboro took a 13-9 lead and Paige Logsdon scored 6 points in an 8-8 second frame to help the Hornets to a 21-17 halftime advantage.
Troy took a 31-30 lead with a 14-9 third quarter and put the Lady Hornets away with a 15-4 final frame.
Brandenburg finished with 13 points and Logsdon had 12, while Ady Frantz added 7 points and Teagan Novinger scored 2 points.
Wellsboro (5-15) has one game remaining on their season, at home on Wednesday against Sayre.
