HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS TENNIS: HORNETS TOPPED BY SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT (2021-09-07)

WELLSBORO — Hannah Nuss won her #3 singles match Tuesday for Wellsboro, but South Williamsport swept the remaining matches to take the 4-1 win in non-league girls’ tennis action. 

Nuss topped SW’s Mia McNaul 7-5, 6-2. 

Wellsboro’s Ana Perry won her first set 6-3 in the second singles match, but dropped the next two 2-6, 2-6 to fall to Greta Kimble.

Mountie Eve Jackson beat Wellsboro #1 Michaela Sedor 6-1, 6-2, while the SW duo of Sadie Stahl and Gia Hart topped Gillian Hernandez and Kailey Zuchowski 6-1, 6-3 in the #1 doubles match. Olivia Jackson and Livvy Harvey beat Wellsboro teammates Kayleigh Harper and Leslie Bowers 6-2, 6-3 in the second doubles match.

Wellsboro falls to 0-5 with the loss. They will host Towanda for an NTL match Thursday.
