NTL BASEBALL: HERMANSEN GRAND SLAM HELPS TIGERS TO SEASON-OPENING WIN OVER WYALUSING (2025-03-18)

MANSFIELD — The North Penn-Mansfield baseball team used an Andy Hermansen grand slam in a 12-run fourth inning to pull away from Wyalusing for a 15-4, season opening win here Tuesday.

The Tigers collected eight base hits in the game. Hermansen added a single to his grand slam home run and had four RBI and two runs scored while Liam Shaut had a pair of hits, an RBI  and scored once.

Alex Davis had a hit, two RBI and two runs scored, Riley Oakes had a hit, an RBI and three runs scored, Cooper Shaw had a hit, an RBI and scored twice, Jason Harer had a hit and two runs scored, Collin Oakes had an RBI and scored and Easton Pequignot and Cameron Caldwell each scored a run.

Shaw started on the mound for the Tigers and went three innings, allowing two runs with four strikeouts while Davis earned the win, going two innings and giving up one run with four K’s.

The Tigers (1-0) are scheduled to return to play Thursday when they host Wellsboro.
