HIGH SCHOOL TRACK & FIELD: WILLIAMSON LADY WARRIORS PLACE 2ND AT KIRBY CLASSIC RELAYS, BOYS 8TH (2025-04-04)

CANTON — The Williamson Track & Field teams competed at the Kirby Classic Relays in Canton Friday, where the girls finished in 2nd place and the boys placed 8th.

The Lady Warriors had two event winners as Olivia Meisner took the shot put title (36-1) and Natalie Yonker won the 3200 meter run (12:43.56)). 

Yonker was second in the 1600 (5:36.61) while Madalynn Bailey was second in the 800 (2:25.11) and Yonker placed fifth (2:33.47). 

Anna Lee placed second in the long jump (14-7.50) with Bailey taking third (14-6) and Lee was fourth in the triple jump (30-5). 

Jade Colwell placed third in the 200 (27.75), Meisner was fourth in the javelin (93-1), Sayde Loucks was fifth in the discus (82-6.50), Raegan VanGorden was Williamson’s high finisher in the high jump, placing ninth (4-4) and Aubrey Wells was 13th in the 300 meter hurdles (58.31).

On the boys’ side, Aiden O’Neil had the Warriors’ lone event win, taking first in the pole vault (14-0). 

Williamson’s high finishers included Troy Madison placing sixth in the triple jump (37-0.50), Parker Rowland taking ninth in the 300 hurdles (49.89) and Jeavon Eick and Braeden Colwell each placing tenth, in the shot (34-10) and in the 200 meter dash (25.12).

Eick was 12th in the 800 (2:14.80), Ben Bower was 12th in the high jump (5-2), Steven Hepfer placed 12th in the long jump (16-7) and Kayden Moon was 12th in the javelin (110-6). Jacob Johnson placed 13th in the discus (90-1), Cole Warner was 16th in the 3200 (13-07.13) and Gabriel Crance was 17th in the 1600 (5:23.45).

The girls scored 91 points, behind only winner Hughesville(153.5). Towanda was third (86.5) followed by Troy (75.5), Canton (74), Wyalusing (39), North Penn-Mansfield (36.5), Northeast Bradford (34), Elk Lake (13) and Sayre (8).

Hughesville won the boys’ title (181 pts.), followed by Troy (122.5), Wyalusing (81), North Penn-Mansfield (63), Northeast Bradford (52), Towanda (49), Canton (40), Williamson (17.5) and Sayre (14).
