Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportCORNING, NY — Williamson struggled at the plate and committed nine errors as they fell 12-0 in five innings to Corning-Painted Post (NY) in a non-league softball match-up here Saturday.
The Lady Hawks scored a run in the first inning, two in each of the second and third frames, six in the fourth and their final run in the fifth inning to end the game early.
The Lady Warriors had three base hits on the day .. Alexis Sprague had a double while Savanna Dean and Keagan Short each had a single.
Olivia Gee took the loss for Williamson, throwing four and two-third innings and allowing 12 runs (4 earned) on four hits and seven walks with three strikeouts.
The Lady Warriors, now 5-3 overall on the season, are scheduled to return to action on Tuesday at Athens.
