
HUNTINGDON, PA — Wellsboro grad Emma Coolidge has had a successful start to her junior outdoor season as a thrower for the Juniata College Women’s Track & Field team.
Coolidge opened the Eagles’ outdoor season at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational in Myrtle Beach, SC on March 20th-22nd and finished a team-high 6th in the javelin with a throw of 35.80m (117-05), 30th overall in the shot put with a toss of 9.43m (30-11.25) and a 27.11m (88-11) in the hammer throw to place 39th.
At Susquehanna University’s Jim Taylor Duals on March 29th, Coolidge was the top finisher for Juniata and placed 3rd overall in the javelin with a 38.51m (126-04), was 14th in shot put (10.01m) and 37th in the hammer throw (28.10m). The junior’s shot put and hammer throw performances were second for the Eagles.
