Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportLOCK HAVEN — The Bald Eagle Women’s Golf Team is well into their spring schedule, with both Cowanesque Valley golf alum Skylar Smith and North Penn-Mansfield’s Bree Johnson contributing.
Lock Haven opened their spring session on March 17th at the Lebanon Valley Invitational. Smith, a senior from Lawrenceville, shot a team-low 97 (+25) to finish tied for 12th, while sophomore Johnson carded a 119.
At their March 30th Tri-Match in Dallas, Pa., Smith took low honors with a 92 to lead the Bald Eagles to wins over Misericordia and FDU while Johnson shot a 98.
On April 5th at the Susquehanna Invitational, Lock Haven finished 6th in the 12-team field with Smith carding a 92 to tie for 15th place and Johnson had a 103.
Lock Haven is scheduled to compete at the Millersville Invitational on April 12th, at the Bloomsburg Invitational on April 17th and at East Stroudsburg on April 19th, followed by the PSAC Championships April 24th through the 27th.
