Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportTROY — Both North Penn-Mansfield Track & Field teams split at a tri-meet Tuesday, as the Tigers and Lady Tigers each beat Montgomery and fell to the host Troy Trojans.
The boys scored 67 points to beat Montgomery (21.5) and lose to Troy (96.5), winning four events on the track.
Sudan Benner won the 400m (52.84) .. where Cedric Miller was 3rd (54.10) .. and Brady Stetter won the 110m hurdles (18.27) .. where Truman Loudenslager was 2nd (20.66). The Tigers also got wins in the 4x100m and 4x400m relays.
In the 100m dash, Luke Kreger was 2nd (12.63), while Benner was 2nd (24.25) in the 200m dash with Brayden Johnson taking 3rd (25.55) and Miller was 4th (25.72).
Brayden VanLoon was 2nd in the 800m (2:15.15), Stetter was 2nd in the 300m hurdles (45.56), Peter Bishop was 2nd in the 1600m (4:57.93) and Mason Forer was 2nd in the 3200m (11:28.91). Forer was 4th in the 1600m (5:02.43), Isaiah VanLoon finished 4th in the 3200m (12:39.84) and Asher York was 4th in the 300m hurdles (55.60).
In the triple jump, Loundenslager was 2nd (34-0), Isaiah VanLoon was 3rd (33-2) and Alexander Mahosky was 4th (29-6.5), while in the long jump, Tayton Strange was 2nd (19-2) and Brayden Johnson was 3rd (18-3), Stetter was 3rd in the shot put (34-7.75), Brody Grinnell was 4th in the javelin (114-3) and Kreger finished 4th in the high jump (5-10).
The Lady Tigers lost 70-56 to Troy and edged Montgomery (54), winning six track events.
Anna Kennedy swept the sprints, winning the 100m (13.87), the 200m (28.97) and the 400m (1:05.58), while Jaci Fairchild won the 800m (2:37.30), Alivia Lisowski won the 3200m (17:29.32) and the 4x800m relay team finished 1st (12:10.97).
Lisowski finished 2nd in the 1600m (7:08.58) .. with Kara Barrett taking 3rd (7:11.72) and Moira Wheeler in 4th (7:11.98), Madilynn Scott took 2nd in the 400m (1:06.20) with Maryn McCarthy placing 3rd (1:06.86), Scott took 3rd in the 100m dash (14.22) with Abigail Hazelton taking 4th (14.58), Nora Furry was 3rd in the 100m hurdles (19.34), McCarthy was 3rd in the 800m (2:53.88) and Barrett was 4th (2:54.17) and Abaigeal Garverick took 4th in the 200m dash (30.88).
In the high jump, Furry was 3rd (4-4) while Wheeler placed 4th (4-0).
