Northern Tier WEST Sports ReportSHINGLEHOUSE — Cowanesque Valley jumped all over host Oswayo Valley here Wednesday, beating the Green Wave 19-2 in a three inning, mercy rule game.
The Lady Indians scored five runs in the first inning, four in the second and ended the non-league contest early with 10 runs in the third frame.
Lilah LaBarron (2B, 5 RBI, 2 R), Ashley Woodring (2 RBI, 2 R), Cassidy Andreason (2B, 1 RBI, 2 R) and Zeraya Wilson (2 RBI, 2 R) each had two base hits while Ella Churchill (2 RBI, 2 R), Raegan Watson (3 R), Ella Schaar (2 R) and Arianna Cary (1 R) each had a hit and Bella Mascho scored two runs.
Cary pitched all three innings for CV, allowing two unearned runs on four hits with three strikeouts.
The Lady Indians (5-7) are scheduled to return to action Thursday with a short trip to Elkland to take on Williamson.
