HIGH SCHOOL TRACK & FIELD: WELLSBORO TEAMS BOTH FINISH 2ND AT COUDERSPORT (2025-05-02)

COUDERSPORT — The Wellsboro girls and boys Track & Field teams each finished in second place at Friday’s Coudersport Invitational. 

The girls scored 75 points, behind only team champion Williamson’s 99 points. 

The 4x100m relay team took 1st place (51.21), while Piper Hoprich won both the 100m (12.49) and 200m (25.65) dashes and Lauren Kosek won both the 1600m (5:25.30) and 3200m (12:28.55) runs and was 2nd in the 800m (2:25.45).

Kristina Belz placed 3rd in the high jump (4-6) where Olivia Gage and Annabella Hawn tied for 6th (4-2), Isla Twoey was 4th in the 300m hurdles (51.67) and Taylor Main was 5th in the javelin (92-6). 

The boys scored 67 points, behind champ North Penn-Mansfield’s 84.

The 4x100m relay team was 1st (45.52) and Gabriel Carpenter won the pole vault (11-6) for the Hornets’ two event wins on the day.

In the 110m hurdles, Micah Vickery placed 2nd (16.48) with David Seeling placing 4th (17.17), while Max Macias was 3rd in the 3200m run (10:15.69) and Henry Whitney was 4th (10:16.94). 

Vickery was 3rd in the 300m hurdles (44.35), Macias was 3rd in the 1600m (4:35.64), Jack Bryant was 3rd in the 100m dash (11.63) and Aaron Kirk was 6th in the 400m (55.58).
