WELLSBORO'S PIPER HOPRICH HEADLINES 2025 ALL-TIOGA COUNTY TRACK & FIELD TEAMS (2025-06-25)

TIOGA COUNTY — It was a successful 2025 girls’ Track & Field season for area athletes, highlighted by a pair of repeat District titles and State medals won by Wellsboro sophomore sprinter Piper Hoprich. 

Hoprich is the All-Tioga County Girls Track Athlete of the Year after repeating as the District IV champ in both the 100m and 200m dashes. The sophomore won both events at the NTL meet and improved on her 3rd and 4th-place State medals from a year ago by taking 2nd in the 100m and 3rd in the 200m at the PIAA Championships this year. 

Hoprich was also a member of the most successful relay team in the West, helping Wellsboro’s 4x800m squad to a 1st-place finish at the NTL meet, a 2nd-place medal at Districts and a 27th-place finish at States, as well as the 4x400m relay which placed 3rd at the NTL meet and 10th at Districts.

Hoprich’s teammate and classmate Lauren Kosek is the All-Tioga County Distance Track Athlete of the Year after qualifying for States in both the 1600m and 3200m runs and earning a PIAA bronze medal in the 3200m. The sophomore finished 1st in the NTL and 2nd at Districts in the 3200m, 3rd at the NTL meet, 4th at Districts and 11th at States in the 1600m, 3rd in the NTL and 11th at Districts in the 800m and was on the Lady Hornets’ 4x400m relay squad that took 3rd at the NTL meet and 10th at Districts. 

Williamson senior thrower Olivia Meisner is the All-Tioga County Field Athlete of the Year after taking 2nd at Districts in the shot put to qualify for States, where she finished 12th.

Williamson junior Madalynn Bailey won a pair of District medals .. placing 3rd in the long jump and 4th in the 800m and is the T&F Athlete of the Year.

The All-Tioga County Girls T&F Newcomer of the Year is Wellsboro freshman Isla Twoey, who won two District medals .. 5th in the triple jump and 7th in the 300m hurdles .. and was on Wellsboro’s 4x400m relay team that took 10th.
