WELLSBORO, Pa. — Circle W Sports has unveiled its newest product — Showcase, which it describes as a "next-generation athlete profile designed to simplify how student-athletes present themselves online."
"It's a student-athlete's digital athletic resume, their personal highlight hub, and their all-in-one sports portfolio — all wrapped into one clean, customizable platform," said Circle W Sports founder Ed Weaver.
"Built on the strong foundation of our existing platform, Showcase streamlines everything into a single, powerful profile," Weaver added.
Weaver said Showcase is an extension of Circle W Sports' objective — "exposure" for today's student-athletes.
"We built Showcase to solve a real problem we kept seeing in the athletic community - athletes and their families juggling multiple platforms just to get noticed," he said. "With Showcase, we're putting everything in one place: highlights, stats, academics, and more.
"It's a modern, streamlined solution that empowers student-athletes to take control of their recruiting journey, tell their story, and stand out," added Weaver. "Whether you're a player, parent, or coach, Showcase is built to support you every step of the way."
Showcase also simplifies the process for multi-sport athletes.
"Too often, athletes (and their families) are stuck juggling multiple profiles for different sports or platforms," said Weaver. "One for football, one for track, another for recruiting, and don't forget the Google Drive folder of game film and the random social media links.
"We said enough is enough," added Weaver. "With Showcase, you'll never need to send five different links again."
(EXAMPLE: Boom Thompson.)
The Sports Reports will be working with Showcase, and any athlete who has a profile will be hyperlinked, which means readers will be able to click on the athlete's name and go directly to his / her Showcase profile.
"When I started The Sports Reports more than 15 years ago, my goal was to promote our student-athletes, and give them as much exposure as possible," said The Sports Reports' founder Tim Birney.
"I see Showcase as the next step in helping kids get to the next level, and it provides a platform who won't play competitively after high school to preserve their memories digitally for years to come," noted Birney.
"Any student-athlete with a Showcase profile will be highlighted with a hyperlink in all of The Sports Reports' articles, and that hyperlink will direct readers to their profiles," he added.
Weaver highlights some of the key features of Showcase.
• One Profile for Every Sport: "Whether you're a multi-sport athlete or laser-focused on one, Showcase adapts to highlight your unique journey."
• QR Code & Short Link: "Every profile comes with a custom QR code and short URL- perfect for college visits, camps, business cards, and social media."
• Upload Game Highlights, Workouts, and More: "Post your biggest plays, off-season grind, photos, stats, records, and achievements - all in one place."
• Fully Customizable: "Add your bio, GPA, academic interests, social handles, and more. Build a profile that reflects who you are on and off the field."
• Share Anywhere, Anytime: "With social media integration and mobile optimization, your profile is always just one tap away."
Weaver says Showcase is for all types of athletes.
"High school athletes, club & travel team athletes looking to gain exposure, get recruited and showcase their year-round activity should use it.
"It's also for parents who want to help their athletes be seen, and coaches looking to centralize player info for scouting and recruitment," said Weaver.
"I also believe it would be especially helpful for media and scouts needing quick access to player highlights," Weaver added.
Weaver says Showcase is for everyone, regardless of whether the student-athlete wants to play at the next level.
"The other main feature of Showcase is that it will be your child’s digital scrapbook.
"In generations past, people would clip articles from newspapers and paste them in a book," said Weaver. "Now, Showcase does all this for us in one place digitally. Articles, pictures, stats and other keepsakes can be stored together in one place for your family to cherish.
"Check out the current directory at (add hyperlink) and every time your athlete is mentioned on one of The Sports Reports Web sites this year, if they have a profile their hyperlink will show up in the article so everyone can notice.
"Your story deserves more than just a folder of clips," added Weaver. "It deserves a platform."
