HIGH SCHOOL BOYS SOCCER: WILLIAMSON EARNS 3-0 WIN OVER PORT ALLEGANY IN OPENER (2025-08-22)

GALETON — Williamson got two goals and an assist from Hayden Plunkert and earned a clean sheet in their season opener Friday, beating Port Allegany 3-0 in the first round of the Galeton Tournament. 

Brady Colwell opened the Warriors’ scoring, finding the net at the 17 minute mark of the first half off an assist from Plunkert. 

Plunkert scored the final two goals, both off assists from Liam Kies, at the 40 minute mark and with 13 minutes left in the game. 

Williamson keeper Braydin Baker had two saves as the Warriors outshot Port Allegany 20-2 and had a 5-2 edge in corner kicks. 

Williamson will face North Penn-Liberty in the title game Saturday.
