Northern Tier West Sports ReportMANSFIELD — The North Penn-Mansfield cross country teams hosted a tri-meet with Towanda and Sullivan County Tuesday as both the boys and girls went 0-2.
The Towanda boys’ team beat NPM 21-34 and the Tigers fell to Sullivan County 23-32.
Michael Knefley (17:12) finished first overall while Braden VanLoon (19:04) was eighth, Isaiah VanLoon (20:57) was 13th, Nolan Palmatier (22:49) was 14th and Dylan Kolb (23:15) was 15th.
In the girls’ race, Towanda beat NPM 19-40 while the Lady Tigers were edged by Sullivan County 26-29.
Jaci Fairchild (21:09) was Mansfield’s top finisher, placing third overall, while Leila Garverick (22:25) was eighth, Kara Barrett (23:56) was 12th, Moira Wheeler (25:00) was 15th and Carolyn Cherwinski (25:43) was 16th.
