
WESTFIELD — Cowanesque Valley evened their season record at 2-2 on Friday with a 42-0 rout of winless Sayre.
The Indians racked up over 300 yards of offense, including 278 on the ground, and CV’s defense pitched their second shutout of the season after blanking Towanda 38-0 in Week 1.
Dave Hess had 144 yards and three scores on just six carries while Kegan Lane had four carries good for 65 yards and two TDs.
QB Levi Stahli completed three of his five passing attempts for 56 yards, including a 20-yard TD pass to Gavin Churchill.
Defensively, Brody Bruce had 12 tackles while Ben freeman had nine, Kegan Lane and Stevie Olson had seven tackles each and Luke Sottolano had six stops. Cam Stahli and Logan Huntington each had an interception and Lane had a fumble recovery.
CV (2-2) returns home for the third straight week next Friday when they host Wellsboro (2-2).
